SHORT CAMBER
従来のセンター・キャンバーから可能な限り余計なエッジの引っ掛かりを無くすためのデザイン。キャンバー・ピークは有効エッジ中心付近のまま、両端は最大幅部手前までとしてチップ・ロッカーに繋げる事でキャンバーのメリットを活かしデメリットの解消を図っている。比較的浅めのキャンバーと組み合わせることで、キャンバー・ボードとは思えないようなスムースなターンを実現している。

Tried out this split in the Alps just now and it delivers. I ride the solid version of giant mantaray for resorts and the feeling is very similar. I paired with Karakoram Carbon and the Ray handles the chopped pow, slushy pow, and even shredded sun-torched overnight-refrozen alpine snow well. The only difference is I am able to do hard carves on groomers less well but let’s face it no one usually does that with a split anyway. Casual carving is fine and stable. The matching skins that can be bought at Gentem fit well too.
Appreciate the split channels grooves giving you positive alignment feeling when transitioning back to board mode. It’s obviously heavier than the non-split board, but ride is familiar albeit more stiff than non-split board. Despite lacking the beautiful top sheet treatment of genomes no split boards, i really appreciate the surface coating- looks very durable.
通常のソリッドボードと変わらない滑り心地、たまにゲレンデでも使用してます。万能のスノーボードでパウダーの浮力、鋭いターン、壁当て、先ずはこの板からスタートして他のモデルを増やしていく事をおすすめします。スプリットではスノーシューより足がかなり楽です。勾配がキツイエリアもしっかり踏み込む練習をすればずり下がらないです。スプリットボードにしてからはスノーシューは使わなくなりました。かなり満足してます。大切に使います。
